Once we finish the game drive, we will transfer you to your accommodation in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater is among the world’s UNESCO Heritage Sites, often called the “African Garden”. It is home to about 30,000 large resident mammals all year round such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos. There are also many varieties of birds such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. You’ll be able to encounter all of the Big Five animals within a short time.
Day 4 Tarangire National Park to Zanzibar
Embark on the final leg of your journey with a visit to the captivating Tarangire National Park. Discover its unique landscapes characterized by ancient baobab trees and abundant wildlife.
The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for the wildlife in the region during the Dry season. Tarangire is home to very diverse vegetation, unlike any others in the Northern safari destinations. Tarangire National Park also contains a very large wildlife concentration, including the largest species of Africa’s animals, and hundreds of bird species. The park was established in 1970 and is most famous for its large diversity of wildlife, vegetation, birds, tree-climbing African pythons and baobab trees.
As the day unfolds, the time comes to say goodbye to the Tanzanian wilderness. After the game drive, a transfer to the Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for the flight back to Zanzibar, your heart filled with memories of remarkable landscapes and unforgettable encounters.
